3The scary thing about masks is how comfortable they are.

The scary thing about masks is how it’s easy to forget whether we have one on.

The scary thing about masks is when you reach to take one off and it isn’t there.

It’s easy to become a parody. It’s easy to become nothing but your surface. It’s so terri(f)yingly relaxingly easy to become nothing but what you appear to be, to never actually think about what it means to believe what you’ve been told to believe.

It takes extra effort to look under the surface. It’s not easy.

We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be.
